2010 Newsletter Subscriber Draw

Now in its second year, during the first week of September I will draw the name of one subscriber from my e-newsletter mailing list. The winner will receive a memento from the Atlantic Provinces where I spent a few days earlier this summer.

This draw is open to current subscribers and anyone who subscribes before August 31st, 2010. If you are not yet a subscriber to my e-newsletter, consider signing up. Don’t miss out on a chance to win a lovely token of Canada’s maritime culture.

Histories, Mysteries, and Victories

Writing about Everyday Heroes and Extraordinary Lives

“Histories, Mysteries, and Victories” is an e-newsletter I hope to publish quarterly. Its inaugural edition (under the name “Touching Your World” was released in March, 2009.

Writing experts say ‘content is king’ and to ‘write what you know.’ With these two adages in mind, each issue of the newsletter will include two to four articles focusing on topics I’ve come to know quite intimately, and ones you’ve told me are important to you, including:

  • Multiple sclerosis, including my personal journey with the disease. Please see Mountains for Maddi if you’d like to learn more.
  • GECO, a WWII munitions plant that put Scarborough, Canada on the world’s stage in history. It’s also the backdrop for my novel, “The War Below.”
  • Living within a blended family, including valuable lessons learned from Moses—stepfather to the world’s largest blended family. Sub-topics will include:
    • What Would Moses Do?
    • 10 Commandments for a Blended Family
    • The Life and Times of a Stepmother
    • It Happened to a Friend of a Friend of Mine, and
    • The Ex-Files.

If you’d like to sign up to receive this e-newsletter, please use the form below.

Otherwise, you may view my current version here. Enjoy!
